
Did it in stages, like committing to getting foot nearest to the line on and then jumping off, gradually got comfortable enough to bring on the other foot and try to stay on. Then I plucked up the courage to learn to jump onto the line (line at hip height). To this day I’m better at turning around to my right than my left for some reason so I’m working on that haha… Then practised turning in the middle of the line, harder again. When I was at your stage (which wasn’t that long ago, only been slacking since summer 2020) next thing I learnt was turning around at the end and walking back the other way. And when you get good you can try to combine them into different sequences, and it's just endlessly entertaining It's a ridiculous amount of fun and a good workout. Currently trying to learn a whole different style of tricks like this chick does: There's a lot out there if you search yoga slackline. Walking blindfolded (have not mastered this one personally!) Walking with hands holding each other behind head Going from standind to laying down to standing Extra difficulty with closed eyes or hands over head. I believe (with no evidence) that learning to balance on the line in all these weird body positions made it easier to transition to longer lines. So I tried to learn as many static/yoga positions as I could fantasize. I personally walked only on short lines for a long ass time and had to get creative to make it challenging.
